WoW Jewelcrafting 1 - 525 Profession Guide

This WoW Jewelcrafting 1 - 525 guide will show you how to raise your Jewelcrafting skill from 1 - 525 in the quickest and most cost effective way. This guide is updated for the Cataclysm expansion, patch 4.3

Prerequisite

There are two ways to go about raising your skill level; farm the items / materials yourself which takes longer but is extremely cheap OR purchase them off the auction house.
Mining goes well with Jewelcrafting as you can prospect the ores to pick up extra gems.

Things you should ideally have before starting:

• A level 85 character
  
• Flying Mount

If you don't have any or only some of the above, don't worry you can still carry on, it will just take you longer to get to 525.

Master 300 - 350

At this point visit your closest trainer and learn Master Jewelcrafting.
In this next section pretty much all of the Design's will be yellow, which means no guaranteed skill up unfortunately! You'll also be required to cut a fair amount of gems!

Grand Master 350 - 425

At this point visit your closest trainer and learn Grand Master Jewelcrafting.

Depending on which gem you cut, make the following:

Illustrious Grand Master 425 - 525

At this point visit your closest trainer and learn Illustrious Grand Master Jewelcrafting.

425 - 450	25 x Cut any uncommon Cataclysm gem	Alicite, Carnelian, Jasper, Hessonite, Nightstone, Zephyrite
450 - 467	20 x Cut any uncommon Cataclysm gem	Alicite, Carnelian, Jasper, Hessonite, Nightstone, Zephyrite These go yellow at 450, but 20 should get you there.
467 - 475	8 x [Trebuie sa fiti inscris si conectat pentru a vedea acest link]	8 Jeweler's Setting, 16 Hessonite
475 - 495	20 x [Trebuie sa fiti inscris si conectat pentru a vedea acest link]	20 Jeweler's Setting, 40 Nightstone

From this point onwards you will need to complete Jewelcrafting daily quests to get tokens so that you can purchase Designs from vendors. You can get the quests from the following NPC's:

• Alliance - [Trebuie sa fiti inscris si conectat pentru a vedea acest link] (Stormwind)
  
• Horde - [Trebuie sa fiti inscris si conectat pentru a vedea acest link] (Orgrimmar)
  

You should also create a [Trebuie sa fiti inscris si conectat pentru a vedea acest link] when your cooldown is up (20 hours), as these will give you a level right up until 525, they also give you some gems in return.
